The grand inaugural ceremony  of Orthopedics Professional Committeeof Sichuan Provincial Medical Promotion Association has been held in Chengdu recently.

Promoters of Orthopedics Professional Committee, such as Chen Mao(Director of Cardiology Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Vice President of Sichuan Provincial Medical Promotion Association), Zhang Mengfan (Secretary General) , Pei Fuxing (Lifelong Professor of West China Hospital and Director of  of Orthopaedics Department), Zhou Zongke (Secretary of Chinese Communist Party of  Orthopaedics Department of West China Hospital), Li Kainan (Director of Orthopaedics Department  of Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University), as well as  a number of experts with great influence in the field of orthopedics in our province attended the meeting.

One of the founders of  Orthopaedic Special Committee, Professor Fu Xing from Orthopaedics Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, gave a speech on preparatory work for the Committee.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Yan Fuxing, one of the founders of  Orthopaedic Special Committee of the Medical Promotion Association and the director of Orthopaedics Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, gave a report on the work of the preparatory group to the participants.

Professor Yu Fuxing mentioned that orthopedic diseases are common and frequently-occurring diseases in the population. Most orthopedic diseases require surgical treatment. Its high treatment cost  brings enormous economic burden to the  country, society and families.  With the development of new orthopedic technologies and medical treatment level, the quality of diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic diseases has also been continuously improved. In recent years, the number of orthopedic patients in our province has been increasing year by year. But through the unremitting efforts of orthopaedic surgeons in our province, satisfactory results have beeen achived in the diagnosis, treatment and  curative effect of common and frequently-occurring orthopedic diseases. However, owing to the big differences in the diagnosis and treatment levels of dfifferent medical units and individuals, as for the diagnosis and treatmen of some difficult diseases, complex diseases and complex wounds, it is still necessary for medical workers to communicate and learn from each other more actively. At the same time, the latest medical research findings ought to be put into practice to help the patients and orthopaedic surgeons to deal with orthopaedic diseases. Therefore, the establishment of Orthopedics Professional Committee of Sichuan Provincial Medical Promotion Association has played an important role in promoting the development of Articulation Orthopaedics Department in our province and the formation of an orthopaedic alliance that is multidisciplinary and a combination of production, education and research.

Zhang Mengfan, Secretary General of Sichuan International Medical Communication Promotion Association,  gave a brief introduction to the situation and work ideas of the association, and said that the Medical Promotion Association has been committed to being a medical home with attitude and temperature, and strives to make distinctive features in differentiated services.

At the same time, the Medical Promotion Association will launch  a well-planned "going out" program with a focus step by step, in order to promote cultural exchanges and cooperation through medical exchanges and cooperation, learn international cutting-edge medical knowledge and service concepts, facilitate medical exchanges, deepen the intercommunication in the medical field, enhance the international reputation of medical science of Sichuan province and deepen foreign cooperation and exchanges.

Chen Mao, Vice President of the Sichuan Provincial Medical Promotion Association, on behalf of the Medical Promotion Association, read out "Reply on the Approval of the Establishment of the Osteopathics Professional Committee of the Sichuan International Medical Communication Promotion Association" and issued the appointment letters to the newly elected committee chairperson, deputy chairman and members of the special committee.
