The international exchanges and cooperation
in medical industry is of significant importance for the well-being of human
lives worldwide, especially in this unconventional time for fighting against
COVID-19 pandemic globally. As of the frontline for tackling the challenges and
safeguarding public health in the post-coronavirus era, dialogues and exchanges
in the field of China-Germany medicine and health care industry are of crucial
necessity to the active and comprehensive promotion of in-depth cooperation
between China and Germany.
Under
this status quo, Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion
Association (SCIMEA) has organized the 2020 China-Germany Night of Medical
Exchange-China-Germany Top Medical Industry Dialogue on 21st August 2020 as to
gather up stakeholders and key players in the medical and health care industry
in Sichuan Province and Germany, aiming to promote joint discussions on the
current trend and future prospects of the China-Germany healthcare industry by
establishing a high-end dialogue platform via online and offline interaction.
This event has attracted 115 distinguished
guests, including Consul from Consulate General of Germany in Chengdu and 3
more representatives from German State Offices, Chambers, etc., more than 30
officials from Chinese provincial and municipal administrative offices and healthcare
industrial parks, 22 top medical experts from West China Hospital, West China
College of Stomatology, Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM,
National Clinical Center for Geriatrics Diseases, etc. And more than 30 heads
of prominent medical clusters like Medical Valley, BIO.NRW as well as CEOs and
senior managers of top pharmaceutic enterprises from both German and Chinese
sides such as Bayer, Frsenius Kabi, Boehringer Ingelheim,
Easton Biopharmaceuticals, Shifeng Medical Apparatus & Instrument, Kelun
Group and Lvye Pharma Group, etc. have attended this top activity.
Following the event, feedback on medical
exchanges is emerging in large numbers from SCIMEA’s members. In terms of
hospital development, those frequently mentioned are e introduction of medical
instrument, overseas training for medicalspecialists, establishing training
school in close cooperation with German experts, etc. As for medical industry
cooperation, some German companies are looking forward to contacting top
Chinese expert members of SCIMEA and some SCIMEA company members are showing
strong interests in importing medical products or having strategic cooperation
with foreign counterparts.
SCIMEA will continue being the top
comprehensive platform for all the stakeholders in the medical industry and
proactively promoting the industrial development in the post-epidemic era.
